Harry Hill looks set to host a new series of Stars In Their Eyes.

ITV is hoping to bring back the popular singing show, which sees ordinary members of the public impersonate their favourite singers and perform a number, which was a huge hit in the 1990s.

According to Forbes.com, the new series is being produced by Endemol - the production company behind 'Big Brother' - and will mark Harry's return to ITV after quitting his hugely popular comedy show 'Harry Hill's TV Burp' in 2012.

An ITV spokesperson has played coy about the speculation, saying: "We are talking to Harry about projects, and we love working with him, but there are no confirmed programmes commissioned at this stage."

Harry previously appeared on the show as a contestant on a celebrity special in 1999 when he impersonated Morrissey and sang 'The Charming Man'.

'Stars in Their Eyes' originally aired from 1990 to 2006, and it's most famous host is Matthew Kelly, who fronted the light entertainment programme from 1993 to 2004.

Cat Deeley took over the show in its final two years before ITV axed it.

The revival follows news that ITV is also working on bringing back game shows 'Celebrity Squares' and 'Name That Tune'.

The channel has already successfully relaunched 'Catchphrase', 'Surprise Surprise' and 'Through the Keyhole' in recent years.
