Gyles Brandreth has joined 'This Morning' as Christmas jumper expert.
The former Conservative MP - who was famous for donning outlandish jumpers on TV in the 1970s - previously joined the ITV daytime show as a guest news reviewer, and the 73-year-old star will now advise viewers on their choice of festive knitwear,
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper : "Gyles' jumpers are such a hit with viewers it made sense to dedicate part of the show to them."
It comes as the hit show - which is regularly hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, with Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond taking over on Fridays - is gearing up to bring viewers a week of festivities in preparation for the Christmas season.
Starting from Monday (29.11.2021), the week will be filled with seasonal food treats from celebrity chefs such as Jamie Oliver, Phil Vickery and 'Bake Off' star Nadiya Hussain.
According to the publication, the set will also use foliage from the show's forest to decorate the studio for the festivities.
Other famous faces on the bill for the week of festive fun include regular guest star Alice Beer, 56, who will present gift giving advice alongside fellow telly star Steve Wilson, 47, who also runs personalised gift company FromLucy&Co.
The star-studded line-up is completed by 'X Factor' winner Leona Lewis and S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara, who will perform some Christmas numbers to get viewers in the spirit.
Speaking on the show about the launch of her latest album 'Christmas, with Love Always', Leona recently said: "Christmas means a lot to different people. Some people are so happy and joyful I always reconnecting with my family at Christmastime but for some people there's break ups, there's people that you have lost and I wanted to encapsulate all emotions that come with Christmas."
