Steve Pemberton has promised "jaw-dropping" surprises in the upcoming series of 'Inside No.9' which is set to hit screens in 2022.
The 'Benidorm' actor writes and stars in the comedy series with former 'League of Gentleman' co-star Reece Shearsmith, 52, which has just started filming for its seventh series.
In a statement, the pair said: "‘We hope you'll join us and another incredible cast of actors for more surprises that will make your jaws drop and spines tingle. Heads might even roll, and if not heads, definitely eyes."
Filming has just got underway for the latest series, but the BBC has announced that a string of famous faces will feature in the programme.
Amongst them are 'Harry Potter' star Jason Issacs - who played Lucius Malfoy in the film series - as well as 'Hot Fuzz' star Ron Cook, 73, and Oscar-nominated actress Sophie Okonedo, 53.
BBC's Head of Comedy Josh Cole promised an "even better" series of the BAFTA award-winning comedy, which first aired in 2014.
He said: "‘It’s a joy to be back in the Inside No. 9 saddle. Reece and Steve are comic masters, and their new scripts are better than ever. Which really is saying something when the last bunch won Best Comedy at the BAFTAs."
Little is known about the plot for series seven of 'Inside No. 9' but it is thought that some storylines will take place in a school.
Like the rest of the series, each episode will tell a single self-contained story with new characters, with Pemberton and Shearsmith each taking on a role.
They will be reunited with their 'League Of Gentlemen' co-star Mark Gatiss, 54, in series seven of 'Inside No 9'.
