Paul Hollywood has teased that the forthcoming series of the 'Great British Bake Off' will be packed with sexual innuendos.
The revamped show - which will now air on Channel 4 - will see the silver fox join forces with raunchy restaurateur Prue Leith, who has replaced Mary Berry, and new hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig next week, and the 51-year-old baker
has admitted there's a cheeky chemistry between the foursome that will be conveyed on screens.
Prue, 77, told The Sun newspaper: "I think I get a lot of cheeky comments because I got married in October to a mere toyboy of 70. Older people think that's rather romantic and charming. Younger people think, 'Good Lord, are they really still at it?' It will sound a rather pompous thing to say but it's healthy that older women like me are not just expected to sit in a corner and knit.
"He [Paul] has this running joke that all I write about is porn, which I do not. I write literature. He just teases me the whole time."
But Paul is adamant it's not just him who pokes fun at Prue as Noel and Sandi can't help but make little digs.
He said: "I've read them [Prue's books]. There's a bit of filth on page 193. Presenters Sandi and Noel rip into her, too. There are a quite a few innuendos and things in this year's '...Bake Off'.
"It's all accidental mainly, although Sandi and Noel did try to set a few of them up. I mean it just happens."
Fans of the show were left feeling slightly bitter and apprehensive last year when Channel 4 swiped the series from the BBC, which has aired it since 2010, as part of a three-year mega-money deal.
But Paul - who used to judge alongside Mary - is convinced viewers won't even notice a change in dynamic.
He explained: "It stands up extremely well on Channel 4. Having done all of them, it didn't feel any different to me. The show feels exactly the same as it always has done. The bakers this year are an amazing standard. It's incredible."
The 'Great British Bake Off' will air on Channel 4 on Tuesday, August 29, at 8pm.
