Grant Coulson's friends have been "reaching out for advice" after he went public with his boyfriend Scott.
The 'Geordie Shore' star has received a "very positive" reaction to his romance, and he thinks it's actually been "inspiring" for some of his male friends.
Grant, 31 - who previously had a fling with Chloe Ferry - told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "A lot of lads in the same position have been reaching out for advice, they've said it's inspiring. The general reaction has been very positive."
The TV star insists he hasn't changed in order to fit a "label".
He explained: "I'm just me - I don't have to act or behave a certain way to fit a certain label."
Grant also hopes that his experience will "inspire" other gay men.
He shared: "A lot of lads find it hard due to the stigma but I hope my story has helped inspire others who are feeling the same way."
Earlier this month, Grant admitted that he's been "hiding his real self" for years.
The TV star insisted that people are more open-minded than ever and that "no one's really bothered" about his sexuality.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I think now I just feel more comfortable with who I am.
"For years I hid the real me and now I am finally happy, I feel like everyone needs to know the real me. I feel like I have been hiding myself for such a long period of time, it's just a bit of a weight lifted off my shoulders.
"I think I have known for years but more people are more open to it now. It’s not the 1800s, no one's really bothered anymore."
