Graham Bell is excited to reunite with Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean on 'Dancing on Ice'.
The ex-Olympic skier's relationship with the TV stars dates back to the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, where the skaters won gold medals for Great Britain, and Graham can't wait to catch up with them again during his time on the show.
The 54-year-old ex-sportsman said: "I was a teenage tearaway back in ’84. I met them back in the day.
"They were focused on their medal, because they competed at the very end. I’d finished my downhill event and had a week of just causing trouble in Sarajevo.
"I went off the rails on a big bender."
During the Olympics, Graham was apprehended by police at the top of a flagpole as he drunkenly attempted to steal its flag.
And even though he was intoxicated at the time, he can still vividly remember the incident.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They took me off to the police station … but let me keep the flag, which was incredible. It’s still at home.
"I don’t know if I was arrested or not because I don’t speak the language."
Meanwhile, Christopher previously admitted that he and Jane took a major risk with their gold medal-winning performance.
He explained: "We had won three world championships by the time the 1984 Winter Olympics came around, so we were in a position to take a real risk.
"Even though it is a piece of classical music, Jayne and I knew our choice of Ravel's Bolero would be seen as radical. Most skating music goes fast-slow-fast, building to a finish with a big hurrah. But Bolero was different: we had often used it as a warm-up and realised it would be perfect for where we wanted to go. Some people find a style and stick with it. We wanted to shake things up."
