Graeme Swann wanted Seann Walsh to "fall over" during the 'Strictly Come Dancing' dance-off.
The two stars were battling it out to remain on the Latin and ballroom show on Sunday (28.10.18), and the cricketer admitted he was hoping for any advantage he could get to keep himself and professional partner Oti Mabuse in the contest.
Speaking on ITV's 'Loose Women', he said: "To be honest, at that point I'd have taken anything.
"I get on well with Seann, I'm probably his closest friend on the show, but that schadenfreude plays out and you're hoping he falls over. It's an awful feeling!"
While comedian Seann and his partner Katya Jones were caught up in a cheating scandal when they were spotted kissing despite both being in relationships, Graeme didn't have any concerns about the so-called "'Strictly' curse" impacting his own life.
He explained: "I think more being away from home because we've got three very young kids ... so it is hard balancing everything.
"Forever either travelling or training, and so it is hard like that. But [my wife Sarah] is great!"
The former England bowler was saved by all four judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Dame Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli, and Shirley Ballas - and now he is focused on trying to win the Glitterball Trophy.
But he admitted: "I'm not sure if I can. In my head, I'm going to win, I've already won it. But then you do have your ups and downs."
Seann's departure from the competition comes after he was also in the dance-off after last week's show, but was saved by the judges, with radio presenter Vick Hope departing the series instead.
