Warner Brothers' brand new series Gotham will be coming to UK screens on Channel 5 later this year.
"I don't think there was a more exciting show at the LA screenings this year" says Channel 5's Head of Acquisitions, Katie Keenan, who brokered the deal.
"Gotham is a thrilling drama built on iconic characters that fascinate. Channel 5 is delighted to become the home of a such a powerful, bold and visually stunning show. Its acquisition proves we continue to be committed to the biggest in US drama."
Ben McKenzie takes the lead role as young Detective and future Commissioner James Gordon, who's doing his best to rid Gotham of the crime that's becoming so frequent and dangerous whilst David Mazouz plays a young Bruce Wayne, devestated following the murder of his parents Thomas and Martha.
Drawing on the stories and origins of some of the greatest DC Comics villains and vigilantes, a new chapter will be explored that's never before been told.

Gotham premieres in the US on September 22 at 8/7c on FOX, and the series will follow shortly after in the UK on Channel 5 and Demand 5.
