Gordon Ramsay has raked in more than £100 million from his US TV shows.

The foul-mouthed chef has become one of America's most popular reality TV stars thanks to a lucrative deal with Fox Broadcasting Company and the success of his five current shows, including 'Hell's Kitchen' and 'Kitchen Nightmares'.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the straight-talking Scot makes a whopping £64,000 per 30-second spot, amounting to a £100 million total in ad sales revenue, plus an extra £18 million from show sponsors.

In the UK, Gordon has extended his contract with Channel 4 to front a series of new cooking programmes.

A Channel 4 spokesman said: "Gordon Ramsay remains exclusive to Channel 4 and the contract will run well into 2014.

"Together we are discussing a number of future programme ideas."

The figures mark a huge change from 2012, when his company Gordon Ramsay Holdings Ltd recorded pre-tax losses of £4.4 million.

However, the Daily Star newspaper are reporting the 46-year-old chef is under investigation for an unpaid tax bill of £1 million.

Gordon denies any wrongdoing, with a spokesman explaining: "The investigation was triggered by Gordon who voluntarily approached HMRC."
