'Gogglebox' creator Tania Alexander hinted the celebrity edition is coming soon.
The Channel 4 boss has reassured disappointed viewers who were disappointed the latest civilian series of the reality show had ended, and it seems they won't have to wait long for the spin-off to hit the air.
After one fan said they were "gutted it's not back until September", Tania replied: "There's a catch up this Friday and then celeb for a couple of months. Thank you"
She had previously thanked the show's cast for bringing some much needed entertainment during the coronavirus lockdown, while noting that the main series will be back later this year.
She tweeted: "THANK YOU to our amazing cast for keeping us laughing throughout these tricky times. Thanks too to you for watching and for all the love.
"We will see you back in September. Ta ra for now. Big love me and the gogglegang (sic)"
The highly anticipated second series of 'Celebrity Gogglebox' is on the way, and Tania's comments come after reports Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt have signed up for another stint.
A source recently said: "Nicole and Melanie were hilarious when they gave the show a whirl and bosses were desperate to get them back."
The celebrity duo - who rose to fame as part of All Saints - have a great on-screen "chemistry", and Channel 4 bosses are thrilled that they're returning to the show.
The insider added: "The success of 'Celebrity Gogglebox' depends on the chemistry between the stars and how much they enjoy being a part of the show - and Nicole and Melanie just ticked all the boxes.
"Both of them jumped at the chance to return to the show."
