Ellie Warner has asked for donations to a brain injury charity for her birthday, after her fiance Nat was hit by a car.
The 31-year-old TV star - who is known for appearing on Channel 4 show 'Gogglebox' alongside her younger sister Izzi - is asking fans to pledge what they can to Headway after Nat Eddleston was left fighting for his life after suffering a broken neck and collapsed lung when hit by a motor in March as he walked home in the early hours.
She wrote on Facebook: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association. I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me."
The Leeds native went on to explain that "every little bit" will help her reach her goal and included information about the charity as she concluded her post.
She added: "Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I've included information about Headway - the brain injury association below.
"Headway's mission is to promote the understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers."
It comes just weeks after it was announced that Ellie and Izzi will be absent from 'Gogglebox' for the remainder of the current series following the crash - which took place in the Halton area of Leeds towards the end of March - but Channel 4 bosses will reportedly continue to pay them their full appearance fee.
A source told The Sun: "Bosses paid Ellie her full fee for the show - they didn't want her or Izzi worrying about money. Of course they've honoured the payments - they take duty of care very seriously on the show. Obviously Ellie and Izzi are two of the most loved regulars on the show but it wouldn't be right for them to have to film a light hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition."
