Glenn Hoddle has been unmasked as the Grandfather Clock on 'The Masked Singer UK'.
The 63-year-old former footballer and manager-turned pundit was revealed to be behind the mask on Saturday night (16.01.21) as one more celebrity found their identity unveiled after being booted out of the competition.
When asked by host Joel Dommett what it was like being Grandfather Clock, Glenn said: "It was so endearing. When I saw it I just fell in love with it. It's been a bit surreal, it's been great, I've loved it. It's wonderful. Good luck to all the contestants."
Jonathan Ross asked Glenn: "What was the Bulgaria postcode?” clue, to which Glenn explained "That was ... I made my England debut in Bulgaria."
Complimenting his voice, Jonathan said: "You sang great. You can really sing. We've been really loving your singing."
Asked what he thought of the panel's guesses, with Jonathan picking Peter Shilton, Davina McCall believing it was Gary Lineker, Rita Ora set on Ian Wright and Mo Gilligan, Lee Dixon, Glenn said: "They were so close. I thought, anytime now. But they didn't clock me."
Jonathan said that it was the clue that a prime minister compared their jobs that was the truth during the 2 Lies 1 Truth round, as former Prime Minister Tony Blair did when he managed England to the second round of the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Glenn revealed: "He said something. For the World Cup, he said I had a bigger job than he did."
Jonathan then quipped: "In the history books, you did a better job than he did as well."
So far, Mel B has been unmasked as Seahorse, Alien was Sophie Ellis Bextor and Martine McCutcheon was Swan.
Bush Baby, Viking, Blob and Harlequin are still yet to be unveiled.
Tune in next Saturday (23.01.21) from 7pm on ITV to find out who the next singer behind the mask will be.
