Adam Thomas reveals Strictly 'argument' with dance teacher wife

The former 'Emmerdale' star has told how he asked his dance teacher partner Caroline Thomas why she hasn't ever taught him any moves over the years ahead of his debut in the BBC show, but she responded by asking why he hadn't taught her to act, which he thought was a "very good point".

He told The Sun newspaper: "She’s a dance teacher. But no, she’s not given me any tips.

"We literally had this argument the other day because I was like, ‘Why have you not taught me how to dance after all these years I’ve been with you?’ And she was like, ‘Well, you’ve never taught me how to act.’

"I was like, ‘Yeah, very good point actually!’ "

Adam also joked his brothers, former 'Coronation Street' star Ryan Thomas and ex-'Love Island' star Scott Thomas, are "jealous" about him getting free spray tans for his 'Strictly' stint.

Asked if they are envious about his latest job, he said: "I think so, yeah. They’re more jealous about me getting a spray tan, if I’m being honest with you!

"But no, for me and my brothers, when I get a job, or when they get a job, we’re all so happy for each other.

"It’s amazing, we all go on that little journey together. They’ll be cheering me on."

Adam admitted his recent rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis will "set him back a little bit" when it comes to his routines, but he is pain-free for now.

He said: "I’ve been through physio with the guys, they know what I can and cannot do.

"I’m just going to have to take it easy, and hopefully it’ll hold up. But right now, I’m in no pain.

"We’ll see on the lifts ... I’m going to try my hardest, but look, it is going to set me back a little bit. I’m just going to try my best."

Adam announced his diagnosis in August, revealing he had been to the doctor to get checked out after experiencing "a lot of pain" since January.

He wrote on Instagram at the time: "Well it’s my birthday tomorrow and I turn 35!!

"How did that happen, does this mean I should stop acting like a kid now haha. As much as I act like a kid, my body is telling another story...

"I’ve been in a lot of pain since January, it started with my knees and then traveled to my wrists, fingers and now ankles and toes.

"I never knew what was happening and finally after several blood tests and back and forth to doctors and hospitals, I’ve been diagnosed with rheumatoid Arthritis!

"I thought that was something people, later on in there life get… but that’s not the case, clearly!(sic)"
