Gino D'Acampo will take his family on an Italian adventure for a new TV show.
The 44-year-old chef, his wife, their three children, and their in-laws will explore Southern Italy in 'Gino and Family's Italian Adventure', in which he will rediscover the places and flavours that inspired him to cook.
Gino said: "Food and family are everything to me and I’m so excited to take my family on a journey across Bella Italia. We are going to discover all sorts of amazing places, people and excellent new ingredients together.
"It's going to be fantastico! Look out Italy, the cooking D'Acampo's are coming!"
Gino takes his children to Sardinia every summer but fails to take in the city's culture, and he is now determined to show them the real Italy.
The seven-part series will see the family pushed out of their comfort zones as they go in search of the source of Italian culture, but some members of the D'Acampo tribe are not as willing to get their hands dirty.
Priya Singh, ITV Commissioning Editor of Factual Entertainment, said: “We’ve watched Gino go on trips with his mates, but this is Gino the family man, with the people closest to him, taking them back to his roots and the region that influenced his lifelong passion for food.
"We’ll see how he gets on reigniting his love for the flavours he grew up with and how his family put up with him!”
'Gino and Family’s Italian Adventure' is produced by Gordon Ramsay's TV production company Studio Ramsay.
Lisa Edwards, CCO of Studio Ramsay, added: “We are delighted viewers who already love Gino now get the opportunity to meet the whole D’Acampo family. More food, more fun and more D'Acampos!”
