'EastEnders' star Gillian Taylforth has called off her wedding.
The 64-year-old actress was preparing to tie the knot with Dave Fairbairn but they have ended their six-year relationship after a string of disagreements.
A friend of the actress, who plays Kathy Beale in the BBC One soap, told The Sun newspaper: "It's a great shame after all this time together but it just wasn't working out. They've called it quits on the best of terms."
This is not the first time that the relationship between Gillian and Dave has broken down, as they also called off their engagement in 2017.
At the time, a source revealed that the relationship was "hanging by a thread".
The source said: "This has been a very difficult time for Gill.
"She and Dave have been together for many years now, and she felt sure her future was with him.
"But neither have been happy for a while. There have been a lot of very fiery rows between them.
"And recently Dave's behaviour has lead Gill's friends to question if there is someone else. That has obviously led to some serious tension between them, and yet more rows.
"The engagement has now been totally discarded, and their future is hanging by a very thin thread. For the moment, they are still together - just about.
"But it is incredibly hard to see how they will get through this."
Gillian, who featured as an original member of the 'EastEnders' cast back in 1985, was previously married to Geoff Knights between 1988 and 2009, but spilt after a series of violent arguments.
