Gillian McKeith is in talks to take part in 'I'm a Celebrity: All Stars'.
The 62-year-old presenter - who took part in the 2010 series of ITV's jungle-based reality show - became a memorable camp mate when she appeared to faint live on air, and bosses are reportedly keen to sign her up for the spin-off series set to be filmed in South Africa later this year.
A source said: "Gillian’s performance in 2010 was nothing short of legendary. She was high on the hit list when producers decided they were going to do the Best Of series next year."
The former 'You Are What You Eat' presenter - who was voted to take part in seven consecutive trials and is also remembered for smuggling salt into the camp via her knickers - is said to be "all but confirmed" for an appearance on the show, with the source insisting that she will be "telly gold".
The source told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "She’s all but confirmed now. Talks are still ongoing and advanced, but everyone is confident she will put pen to paper and head to South Africa for filming in the next few months. It’ll be telly gold."
'I'm a Celebrity: All Stars' is set to be pre-recorded in the summer of 2022 but will air on ITV next year and other names reportedly snapped up for the series include 2010 Queen of the Jungle and 'Loose Women' star Stacey Solomon, as well as 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' alum Caitlyn Jenner, who reached sixth place in 2019.
Also rumoured to be taking part is 2008 contestant David van Day, who is remembered for his relationship with model Nicola McLean.
