George Sampson wants to land a role in 'Coronation Street'.
The former 'Britain's Got Talent' winner - who walked away with the crown in 2008 at the age of just 14 years old - has admitted it would be a "dream" come true if he were to nab a part in the long-running soap because he's obsessed with the programme.
Speaking on 'This Morning' on Wednesday (02.08.17), he said: "My dream job would be to get in 'Coronation Street'. We watch it religiously, like we actually set our alarms to watch it. I'm in rehersals until six o'clock so that gives me an hour and a half to get back in time. I love 'Coronation Street'."
And the 24-year-old hunk certainly has experience when it comes to working on a soap set as he previously had a short stint as Ryan Harred in rival show 'Emmerdale'.
He said recently: "I went in for four episodes and they never said, 'That's it now.' Then suddenly I was given another, then another, then another. I'd love to have a permanent role. It's a massive year for the show."
And George - who shot to fame at the tender age of 14 - believes landing the soap role last year was a lifeline.
He said: "I was going through a rough time. I didn't have an agent and was looking after my grandad, who was poorly. Then he passed away and I wasn't concentrating on work. I got a call from ITV saying, 'We've got this part we want you to do.' I assumed it was a joke. It's meant that I've been acting again, so it's more experience for me."
However, George's dancing has taken a "backseat" since he landed the role.
He added: "Dancing has taken a backseat since I started acting. It's so hard to fit training in but I'll never stop dancing."
