Gennie Sharma will be left fighting for her life on 'Emmerdale'.
The popular soap character - played by Sian Reese-Williams - ends up in deadly danger next week when she discovers too much about Cameron's crimes, and her car plummets down a ravine in her haste to escape.
Determined to prove to her sister Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) that her fiancé Cameron Murray is having an affair with Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb), Gennie hides out at Debbie's house in the hopes of recording evidence.
However, when the Dales killer confesses more than she ever expected, petrified Gennie runs for her life, putting herself in danger in her haste to escape.
Actress Sian told Inside Soap magazine: "Gennie's stuck on the stairs, desperate not to be discovered - and it's then she ends up hearing a lot more than she'd bargained for! It's massive stuff, and as all those gut feeling she had about Cameron suddenly start making sense, she knows she has to get away as soon as she can without being seen.
"When they see Gennie leaving she's forced to make her escape in the car!"
It's likely things won't end well for Gennie since Sian recently confirmed she was due to leave the ITV soap for good on July 25 after a five-year run.
The actress revealed: "I deliberately gave in my notice a long time ago to make sure that Gennie got a fitting exit - and a memorable one.
"I wanted a nice farewell, and I've definitely got that. I've loved being at 'Emmerdale', and at the moment I'm doing a lot of crying and saying goodbye to people. I'll miss everybody hugely!"
