Gemma Atkinson has reportedly signed up for new reality show 'The Real Motherland'.
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress is set to team up with real life friends and fellow soap stars Brooke Vincent, Roxy Shahidi, Amy Walsh and Jen Metcalfe for the new ITV series.
As reported by The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column, three more famous faces are being lined up as the group balance their careers and family lives.
A source said: "We are so used to seeing celebrity mums on our screens, with a whole host of reality series about parenthood — but this new venture will show a very different side to motherhood.
“There’s nothing glamorous to see here — just the highs and lows of a group of real women, juggling their careers, kids and home life in a unique look behind closed doors."
The report comes after news Gemma and her partner Gorka Marquez have welcomed their second child into the world.
The insider added: "The timing could not have been more perfect, with Gemma welcoming her second child with her partner.
“The struggles of this huge transition in her life will all be captured on camera, but the focus isn’t just on the baby — it’s on Gemma.
“The same will be said of all the other celebrity mums, and the heart of the show is the things that make these women tick — from their businesses and careers to friendships and hobbies."
Production is set to get underway soon, and the show has already been described as a "change of tune" for programming about parenthood with viewers set to get a fresh and honest perspective.
The source teased: “It’s a real change of tune for reality TV about parenthood.”
