'Gavin & Stacey' actress Melanie Walters wants to star in a new series of the sitcom.
The 59-year-old star played Gwen West in the show, and while there are currently no solid plans for more episodes, Melanie would love to reprise her role.
She said: "There are no plans that I know of at all. All I can say is that I’d love to play Gwen again. I think we’d all do it if there was one – I’m sure."
The sitcom - which was written by and starred James Corden and Ruth Jones - first aired from 2008 to 2010 and told the story of the titular characters striking up a long-distance relationship between Wales and Essex.
A Christmas special aired in 2019 following a nine-year break, and Gwen admitted that she was rather apprehensive about the reunion to start with.
She told the Radio Times magazine: "I think we were quite apprehensive in the sense that we hadn’t seen each other for such a long time."
However, it didn't take long for the cast - which also included 'Catherine Tate Show' actor Mathew Horne, 43, and acting legend Alison Steadman, 75 - to bond like old times.
She added: "But it was one of those things that when we went into Soho House, where we had the reading, we went in and within minutes it was like we had only seen each other the other day. It was like a long lost family. We all got back together.
"It was one of the best filming sequences of 'Gavin & Stacey'. It really was, it was the best one.
"We got on so so well, it was delightful. It was just unbelievably brilliant."
