Gary Linker has promised fans they are in for a treat if they tune into his new game show.
The 60-year-old TV presenter - who hosts 'Match of the Day' - will be switching things up by hosting 'Sitting on a Fortune', where six contestants try to win up to £100,000, and he would surprised if viewers don't enjoy it.
He said: "I’m so thrilled with it. It’s such a feel-good show. We’ve given away loads of money, made a difference to people’s lives.
"It was something very different for me, and I gave it a lot of thought. I’d be shocked if people don’t enjoy it.”
Gary also compared the show to ITV juggernaut 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?', which returned for its 35th series earlier this year.
He said: "It’s not 'Generation Game', it’s more 'Millionaire'. That kind of show."
But the former England captain was also keen to point out that, unlike 'Millionaire', his new show tends to end on a high.
He told podcast 'The Old Spice Boys': "People love quiz shows anyway. But most game shows end in a downer, sometimes you have a big win at the end of the show and that’s great.
"'Millionaire', at the end they either agree for the amount. Or they get it wrong, and it’s a downer. But this show nearly always ends on a marvellous moment. There’s so much jeopardy. It’s brilliant."
'Sitting on a Fortune' was recently filmed in Manchester, and fans can expect to see it on ITV sometime in the coming months.
In July, Gary confirmed he would be hosting the show.
He said: "From the moment I heard about this new show, it sounded like an exhilarating concept."
The quiz features six players all trying to be in the right place at the right time to take away a potentially life-changing amount of money.
