Gary Goldsmith wants to join 'Dragon's Den'.
The 58-year-old businessman - who is the uncle of Catherine, Princess of Wales - was the first contestant evicted from the rebooted series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' earlier this month and now insiders have claimed that he wants to join the likes of Sara Davies and Deborah Meaden as an investor on the BBC reality show.
An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Gary has a number of successful businesses and he wants to use his new platform to help others.
“He has mooted the idea of becoming one of the Dragons and thinks it could be a great move for him. Gary is an astute businessman and the idea of helping out new entrepreneurs is something he’s keen to dabble in."
The source added that the TV star - who is thought to have built up a fortune of £30 million following a long career in IT - is just a "normal guy" who has been successful and his stint on the ITV1 reality series showed a "different" side to him.
The insider said: "His time on 'Celebrity Big Brother' showed a different side to Gary.
"He’s a normal guy who’s done well for himself and he wants to try and give something back.
“Gary has his 'Points Of View' podcast where he talks about business but he thinks being on 'Dragon’s Den' could be a bigger platform for him."
Gary had appeared alongside the likes of former 'X Factor' judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh as well as 'This Morning' legend Fern Britton on 'Celebrity Big Brother' but insisted following his edition that he "doesn't consider" himself to be famous at all.
Speaking on 'Big Brother: Late and Live', he said: "I've had the best time. I went in with one agenda and I've achieved it in five days.
"I don't consider myself to be a celebrity - I just happen to be related to someone who is a big celebrity."
