Gary Barlow wants drama with Sharon Osbourne.
The 'X Factor' judge isn't afraid of the feisty star's infamous temper and has concocted a master plan to wind her up during the live shows, which kick off this Saturday, October 12.
Referencing Sharon's memorable spat with Louis Walsh in 2005, when she chucked a glass of water in his face, Gary joked to ITV: "My ambition is for Sharon to throw a glass of water over my head. If she doesn't do it by the final, I want her to do it in the final. It hasn't happened to many people."
The Take That singer is a fan of returning judge Sharon and has defended the diva's disappearing act after she faced criticism for leaving her category, the over-25s, by flying back to Los Angeles ahead of this weekend's performances.
He said: "I don't think Sharon will be doing any less than we are doing. I don't see it as a problem. I hope she is all right with it, it is a long way to travel each week - but first class probably helps."
Gary is mentoring the groups this year and admits he was initially floored by how lacklustre the talent was before settling on his final three acts, Rough Copy, Kingsland Road and Miss Dynamix.
He added: "It was the worst I had ever seen all the groups. It was really bad. And that's because they get given a song and within 24 hours have to do it, for groups, it is the hardest bit.
"I was sat there thinking, 'Oh my God'. And then, when we go back to doing the songs they know and have rehearsed, they have completely knocked it out the park. They feel relevant. It is early days but I feel really good about this year."
