Gary Barlow isn't ruling out an 'X Factor' return because he wants to win.
Gary Barlow has admitted his three losing efforts on 'The X Factor' would be "a reason" to return to the show as a judge, but not before he's focused on his own career again.
The Take That singer is quitting the show after its current series to focus on his own career, but he has admitted his three losses since becoming a judge in 2011 may be enough to convince him to reprise his role in the future.
He told Digital Spy: "I'm disappointed. That's a reason to come back somewhere in the future, maybe. Not next year.
"It's been nice, I've had three beautiful years on the show. I've really enjoyed it. I've met some friends, friends for life, but it's time to go."
Speculation is already mounting with regards to his successor, and Gary said he "would love to see" his former band mate Robbie Williams take over.
He added: "I would love to see him on this show. I'd love to see him on ITV2 - the best and worst bits. That would be brilliant."
Tonight (14.12.13), the 42-year-old singer will make his last appearance on the show during the live final, with three hopefuls competing to become this year's champion.
Sam Bailey is still odds-on favourite to win the show with bookmakers Paddy Power offering odds of 2/9, while Nicholas McDonald is second favourite at 9/2 and Luke Friend is the outsider at 12/1.
Prison officer Sam, 36, is also leading the race to be an 'X Factor' judge by 2018, with the bookies placing her alongside any member of Rough Copy at odds of 25/1.
