'X Factor' wannabe Souli Roots has vowed to win over judge Gary Barlow after he appeared less than impressed with her audition on last night's (15.09.13) show.
The 42-year-old judge failed to share his fellow panellists' enthusiasm for the Jamaican hopeful's bongo skills during last night's (15.09.13) episode of the ITV show, but Souli insists she will impress him with even bigger bongos when she returns for the Boot Camp stage of the competition.
She told the press: "I made loads of noise to awaken Gary's chakra. Obviously this time it didn't work. He needs some healing. When I get to Boot Camp, I will get some bigger bongos so I can awaken him."
The 34-year-old reggae singer earned praise from judges Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger for enthusiastically banging a drum on stage while singing Bob Marley's 'Three Little Birds'.
While the trio put her through to the next round, Take That star Gary claimed Souli wasn't good enough to advance in the competition - but the singer remains undeterred.
She hit back saying: "Gary is looking for the next Whitney but she is dead and Souli is alive. 'X Factor' would be the poorer without me."
