Freddie Flintoff is to go camping with Jason Manford as part of a new show for ITV.
The 44-year-old cricketer will venture up Mount Snowdon in Wales with 'QI' star Jason, 41, as part of a one-off special and an insider explained that getting the two together was a "no-brainer" for the broadcaster.
A source said: "Getting these two together is a no-brainer for ITV bosses, though the random challenge might leave a few viewers scratching their heads as neither have huge experience of surviving outdoors.
The insider went on to joke that although Freddie is known for working with Jason's fellow comedian Paddy McGuinness on BBC motor show 'Top Gear', he will be working "much closer" with Jason because the pair will be sleeping in the same tent.
The source told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz Column: "Fortunately Freddie does have some experience of working closely with a comedian as he’s used to filming with Paddy McGuinness on Top Gear. Though he won’t have worked quite as closely as this before, as they will be sleeping centimetres away from each other on their jaunt in Wales."
Back in June, Jason took to Instagram where he shared a few snaps from the mountain, thought to be during his time filming the upcoming show.
At the time, he wrote: "Few days in Wales camping (in a tent this time!) before a couple of days off. Belfast [and] Derry next weekend. Beautiful day. Don’t know why Wales don’t mention how lovely their weather is! It’s gorgeous."
‘Two Men In a Tent’ will air on ITV later this year.
