Freddie Flintoff has reportedly spent millions to buy a luxury mansion from a former teammate.
The ex-England cricketer has bought a six-bedroom home in Hale, Cheshire, from Phil Neville, who starred as a junior cricketer alongside Freddie before he became a Manchester United and England star.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Freddie has done really well with his TV work and wanted a stunning new home for his family.
"He saw Phil’s property come on the market and thought it was perfect for his wife Rachael and their four children.
"They have moved in and are enjoying making it their own. He got it for a bit less but the deal was smooth because Freddie and Phil are pals."
The spectacular property - which features a pool, a gym, a cinema and an underground car park - was originally put on the market for £5.25 million.
Phil, 44 - who starred alongside Freddie at Lancashire as a junior cricketer - decided to sell the mansion after becoming the new head coach of Inter Miami in the US.
Freddie previously heaped praise on his former teammate's cricket abilities.
He said: "I played junior cricket at Lancashire with Phil Neville. He was a year older than me and he was a cricketing genius."
Freddie, 43, retired from cricket international cricket in 2009 and has subsequently carved out a career in the TV industry.
However, he previously admitted to being surprise by his own success.
He said: "I finished at 31 as a cricketer and stumbled into TV when I was offered 'A League Of Their Own' by Sky. I thought it might last for one series and didn’t know if anyone would like me.
"Ten years later and I find myself doing all these shows and I’m just going with it."
