The 61-year-old presenter has fronted three series of 'Landscape Artist of the Year' and four of 'Portrait Artist of the Year' but is now leaving the programmes and will be replaced by Stephen Mangan.

Stephen said: "I love the idea of proving that you can make great entertainment out of watching paint dry!"

Joan Bakewell is returning as co-host of both shows and is looking forward to working closely with the 'Episodes' actor.

She said: "I am pleased to welcome Stephen to the team. He and I have already worked together on 'Have I Got News for You', and I admire him as a presenter and as a fine actor. We have great fun making these popular programmes and I hope he'll enjoy them as much as I do."

The next series of 'Landscape Artist of the Year' is scheduled to air this autumn, and 'Portrait Artist of the Year' will air in 2019.

Judges Kate Bryan, Kathleen Soriano and Tai Shan Schierenberg will return for both series.

Meanwhile, Frank recently reteamed with his comedy partner David Baddiel for two adverts for Pension Wise, the Government's pension guidance service.

In the commercials, the Absolute Radio DJ read out the job offer, which 53-year-old David rejects.

He said in the clip: "We've been chosen because we're old, as you can see.

"I should say, by the way, we don't actually provide the pensions advice. Don't call us once you've seen this advert."

Frank added: "It is cold but we're supposed to look like it's spring. So the secret is to look warm."

The pair were chosen as it was felt their "funny delivery" would strike a chord with viewers.

Catriona McGrath, head of marketing and communications at Pension Wise, said: "We know that people don't want to think about their pensions, but with David and Frank's funny delivery, and the fact that they aren't getting any younger themselves, we hope to get people to do just that."
