Frank Lampard hopes he can now secure a career in television.
The 35-year-old Chelsea midfielder admitted he'd consider a move into presenting with the 'Dancing on Ice' presenter and his fiancée Christine Bleakley when he retires from professional football.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I don't think I'd ever be sitting on the sofa with her, Richard and Judy style, but if I was able to do something sporty on TV then maybe."
Although Frank - who has began dating Christine, 35, since they met at an awards ceremony in 2009 - hopes to return to Chelsea following the 2014 FIFA World Cup this summer, he admitted he has been mentally preparing for retirement since his milestone 30th birthday and is "looking forward" to the next part of his career.
He told Red magazine: "I don't know if I'll be at Chelsea next season. I'd like to carry on for two or three more years but it would be good to end on a high. If it means it all ends tomorrow I wouldn't have any regrets.
"You know your shelf life so I started to mentally prepare when I hit 30. I've been doing this for a long time so there's a part of me that's looking forward to the future."
