The 24-year-old creative assistant enjoyed flirting with the 22-year-old project manager and they even enjoyed a kiss after Gabby entered the ITV2 dating show at the Casa Amor stage, but she was snubbed for her fellow Casa star Amber Wise in Wednesday night's (05.07.23) recoupling.

Speaking about what happened with Sammy, she said: "I’m still confused! Sammy was not on my radar at all before I walked in but as soon as I walked in he caught my eye, I was like woah, he’s really attractive.

"Our first chat was natural, really cheeky and flirty and I thought, maybe he is on my radar now. I don’t think I expressed it much to the group, so when I did start to get interested in Sammy it was a shock to everyone.

"I just went with my feelings and how I felt at the time. We had a lot of flirty energy after our kiss but we didn’t have deep conversations, which I think he got more from Amber. I wish them all the best."

Gabby was also close to Scott Van Der Sluis on the show, but he ultimately decided to remain faithful to Catherine Agbaje, who ended up returning from Casa Amor with Elom Ahlijah-Wilson.

She said: "Scott was in my top three before I even headed in there, so I had my eye on him.

"Scott couldn't give me 100 per cent but wanted 100 per cent from me.

"I felt he wanted a lot from me, but wasn’t willing to give it back."

Gabby admitted it was "jaw-dropping" watching the post-Casa Amor recoupling unfold in the villa, especially after Ella Thomas brought back Ouzy See, which effectively left her partner Tyrique Hyde single.

She said: "I think my jaw was on the floor the entire time. I was very shocked.

"I was surprised because everyone expected the boys to move like mad but actually it was the girls.

"When Ella walked in with Ouzy, everyone was like oh my God. Obviously Tyrique wasn’t happy with that."

'Love Island' continues tomorrow at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player, proudly sponsored by Virgin Media Mobile.

The reality show can also be seen on ITV2.
