The 'Sax' singer - who shot to fame after coming second to Ben Haenow on 'The X Factor' in 2014 - is set to be in negotiations to head Down Under for the jungle show in November and producers are confident viewers will warm to her.

A source said: "Fleur was one of the most loved X Factor contestants in recent years, so she is bound to be a hit with ­audiences.

"She's part of the ITV family.

"The relationship is already there and they are just negotiating a deal at the moment."

The 30-year-old singer was dropped from her record label Syco last October and hasn't released new music since, but thinks going on the show would provide her with the perfect platform to kickstart a relaunch of her career.

The insider added to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "Fleur really wants to try to relaunch her music career in early 2019, so she feels like this is a great way to get her name back out there again.

"She knows she has been out of the spotlight for a while but wants people to see who she really is on the show."

Fleur previously admitted she has been approached for the show in the past and was keen to take part, but it wasn't the right time.

She said: "I've been approached by a few shows like 'Strictly' and 'I'm A Celeb...', but it's never quite the right time.

"We'll have to see if they come knocking again. I would like to do one at some point, if it was right."

If Fleur does go into the jungle, she's expected to be joined by former Inbetweeners' actress Emily Atack, 'Hollyoaks' actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer and 'Good Morning Britain' presenter Kate Garraway.
