Fleur East was able to restart the routine

The 35-year-old star found herself in the dance off last week and was able to start her Salsa again after she fell and took her professional partner Vito Coppola down to the ground with her.

As reported by The Sun newspaper, the pair were seen to by medics in the studio and were allowed to restart the routine.

They were then voted through by judges Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas, with 'EastEnders' star James Bye getting eliminated.

A source told the outlet: "It was a deeply unfortunate incident, and not Fleur or Vito's fault at all."

It's said the pair "landed incredibly hard", with the second version of the dance being shown on air with "no reference to the fall" made during the broadcast.

The insider added: "To be fair, James wasn't bothered at all - he genuinely believed she was the better dancer on the night."

As usual, the dance-off was pre-recorded on the Saturday night (29.10.22) and aired the following evening.

A BBC spokesperson has said: "After an incident with a prop at the beginning of Fleur and Vito's dance-off performance, the decision was made to halt proceedings to check they were not injured.

"As they had not begun to dance before the incident occurred, it was decided they could start the performance again, once it was confirmed they were fit to do so."

Meanwhile, the former 'X Factor' star has admitted she has "no idea" why she's twice found herself in the bottom two.

She recently said: "‘I have no idea why I’m in the bottom two – it’s out of my hands, out of my control. All I can do is rehearse every week and do my best, have the most fun and that’s what I’m doing. All I hope is that we do enough this week to get through but it is getting so tough.

"We’re halfway now, halfway through the competition and everyone’s so good and everyone’s working really hard."
