The obsession shared by Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) in Killing Eve is set to come to an end in the near future, as the fourth and final season in the series makes its way to the small screen.
With a return date set for February 2022, we’ve now been given a glimpse at some of the frankly odd disguises and intriguing locations that the warring pair will be taking up and settling in; as well as a look at Fiona Shaw’s compelling Carolyn and, Camille Cottin’s return as the devious member of The Twelve, Hélène.
You can see those pictures below:
Though it looked as if Villanelle and Eve were walking away from one another when Season 3 reached its conclusion, the picture showing Eve in a frankly baffling disguise may mean that she is now fully embroiled in the secretive way of life that would be required to be with Villanelle.
Of course, it may just be that The Twelve know of Villanelle's feelings towards Eve and so, are hunting her down to use as collateral, in a bid to bring Villanelle back into the fold.
Or, we could be completely off the mark. Who knows what the writers have got up their sleeves?
Chatting about the series, Oh previously said: "Killing Eve has been one of my greatest experiences and I look forward to diving back into Eve's remarkable mind soon.
"I'm so grateful for all cast and crew who have brought our story to life and to the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season.”
Comer added: “Killing Eve has been the most extraordinary journey and one that I will be forever grateful for. Thank you to all the fans who've supported us throughout and come along for the ride.
"Although all good things come to an end, it's not over yet. We aim to make this one to remember!”
Despite the original series coming to a close, there are potential spinoffs being explored. Hopefully, we’ll find out a little more about those in the not-too-distant future!
Killing Eve makes its return for its fourth and final season in late February 2022.
