Finn Tapp tries to ignore girlfriend Paige Turley's romantic past with Lewis Capaldi.
The 20-year-old reality star - who won the first winter series of 'Love Island' - first learned about his 22-year-old girlfriend's famous ex-boyfriend on the ITV2 dating show, but he hinted the 'Someone You Loved' hitmaker could be "kicking himself" for letting Paige go.
He told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "Everyone has a past and that's the way it is. No one really mentions the Lewis connection and my pals never do really, so it doesn't really come up too much.
"I don't think Paige is still in touch with him. I don't know if Lewis is kicking himself now but I am the one with Paige."
Paige and Lewis, 23, dated for two years when they were 18 years old.
The pair remained friends and Lewis - who won the Best New Artist and Song of the Year accolades at the BRIT Awards earlier this year - sent Paige a text to congratulate her for winning 'Love Island' with Finn.
Paige previously revealed: "I actually text him to say congratulations on his BRITs. Yeah, he text me back to congratulate me on 'Love Island' so it's good but I haven't really had a chance to catch up with anybody."
Asked about their relationship these days, Paige added: "We're still good friends."
Lewis previously revealed his hit single 'Someone You Loved' was inspired by his late grandmother - and not by Paige.
The record was a huge commercial success, topping the charts in the UK, and receiving a Song of the Year nomination at the Grammy Awards.
Speaking at the BRIT Awards, Lewis explained: "Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend, who you can now see every night on 'Love Island'.
"It's actually about my grandmother who has sadly passed away a few years ago. I hope to god that ITV don't contact her to be on a reality TV dating show."
