Ferne McCann's friends are "really worried" about her.
The 26-year-old presenter found out she was pregnant with her first child just days before her boyfriend Arthur Collins, 24, went on the run following an acid attack at a nightclub in London last weekend but it seems his recent arrest has hit her hard as she's started to detach herself from her friends and has reportedly gone into hiding.
A source told The Sun Online: "We had no idea [she was pregnant]. It's really worrying - we don't know what she's going to do now, it's really sad, we're all here for her but she's not speaking to anyone. We don't even know where she is.
"She wouldn't have wanted it to be like this. It's really sad... she isn't getting to celebrate being pregnant like other first time mum's - she doesn't deserve this, she is a lovely girl and she deserves only happiness. Everyone is really concerned for her."
Arthur has now been charged with 14 counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and one of throwing corrosive fluid on a person following the incident and Ferne's friends fear the situation could potentially ruin her TV career.
An insider explained: "We feel really sad for Ferne as she has not been able to celebrate what should be the happiest time of her life because her pregnancy has been tainted by such a horrific tragedy.
"The abuse on Twitter is terrible - hopefully people won't hold it against her and it won't affect her career because it's not fair on her."
Ferne has since announced her plans to raise her baby alone following Arthur's arrest.
The brunette beauty's representative said: "Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and healthy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy."
