Ferne McCann worried she wasn't "ready" to be a mother.
The 27-year-old former 'TOWIE' star welcomed daughter Sunday - her first child with jailed ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins - into the world last month and she's been pleasantly surprised by how well she has taken to parenthood because she isn't a "super-maternal" person.
She said: "I was really worried I wasn't going to get that rush of unconditional love.
"I think because I haven't always been this super-maternal person - I love kids and it was always part of the plan, but not necessarily part of 2017, it was a bit of a shock.
"So I was worried I wasn't going to be ready for it. But actually, what has surprised me is how naturally I've taken to it."
Ferne is "obsessed" with her daughter and loves being around her.
She said: "I'm so obsessed with her. Its a healthy obsession, it just feels so natural and right. I look at her and she makes me so happy. Her face really makes me giggle."
But in the coming weeks, Ferne is looking forward to catching up with her friends away from her daughter.
She told heat magazine: "I haven't left Sunday with anyone else yet because I'm breastfeeding. I am keen to express. I'm definitely going to plan a night out with the girls or maybe a brunch that turns into an afternoon thing for the new year, and do it as a little bit of a celebration for Sunday's birth."
