Ferne McCann and her fiancé Lorri Haines saw an intimacy coach after their sex life dried up in the wake of the birth of their baby.
The former 'TOWIE' star and Lorri, 33, welcomed daughter Finty into the world in July 2023, and since her arrival the couple have been sleeping in separate bedrooms which has reduced time for intimacy between them.
Ferne has now detailed how she and Lorri sought out specialist help because they went months without getting it on.
In an interview with Heat! magazine, she said: "It was really insightful. We did lots of different activities that weren’t actually talking about sexual stuff, but it was more communication techniques and exercises that you can transfer into the bedroom. Also, we don’t share a bedroom, and I do think that played a big part in it, because when you’re in a bed together, you’re there and it’s easier. But, like with anything in life, if you want to make something work, you just need to give more attention to it, and make the time."
Ferne - who also has six-year-old daughter Sunday with her her imprisoned ex Arthur Collins - insists her and Lorri's bedroom issues are common for parents of babies.
She said: "I think most parents will agree that when you have a baby, sex goes out the window and it isn’t a priority. When you’ve got kids, fish, dogs and you’re filming a TV show and running a business, the months fly by! It was getting to the point where I was like, ‘We need to do it,’ and it was becoming a bit more of a chore. So, we went to an intimacy coach.”
Ferne also praised Lorri for being a "hands-on” dad and even remarked she thinks that he even likes parenting solo.
She said: “He’s so hands-on, and he’s an amazing dad. I had a night out with the school mums recently and I think he quite liked having the girls with him just by himself."
Meanwhile, Ferne recently announced on her Instagram page that her ITVBe reality series 'Ferne McCann: My Family and Me' is ending after 13 series and seven years on air.
The show began as 'Ferne McCann: First Time Mum' and was retitled in 2023 when Ferne had Finty.
Her post read: "After an incredible 13 series I have made the very difficult decision that this series of @fernemyfamandme will be my last.
"Where do I begin? Firstly by saying a huge, huge thank you to each one of you that have watched my show and been on our family journey with us.
"This show has been such an incredible part of my life for the last seven years and what a ride it has been filming from being pregnant with Sunday to now. Your support and loyalty to me and my family has, at times, lifted me more than you will ever know. Thank you.
"From the day I started filming I have poured my heart and soul in to the series. I genuinely feel like I’ve laughed, cried, loved and lived with you, sharing all the ups and downs.
"This decision hasnt been an easy one but it feels like now is the right time for a change. I made this decision with my children (especially Sunday who has been on this full journey with me) in mind. They are my absolute priority and Sunday is now at an age where she is very much her own little person and I want her to go out there and take her own path.
"@potatoitv and @itvxofficial @itv team are incredible and over the years have become part of the family too thankyou so much for this wonderful opportunity. it’s not lost on me how incredible this has been and I will cherish these memories and moments that I have been lucky enough to have captured forever.
"I am eternally grateful to every single person who has watched the show, supported us and been there through it all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
"New chapters await. Please enjoy series 13: it is my biggest and favourite one to date. Out this Wednesday on ITVBE 9pm and ITV X."
