Ferne McCann thinks cooking has been like "therapy" for her.
The 30-year-old TV star - who is currently taking part in 'Celebrity Best Home Cook' - has admitted that working away in the kitchen has helped to calm her nerves.
She explained: "Cooking is emotional for me. It has been my therapy. It calms me.
"When I've had a bad day, I pour myself some vino, listen to some jazz and get my cook on."
Ferne - who previously starred on 'The Only Way Is Essex' - is actually hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dame Mary Berry by releasing her own cookbooks.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I'd love to bring out my own range of cookbooks, like Dame Mary Berry."
Ferne also admitted to feeling more "happy and content" after focusing on her mental health.
The TV star added that food is the "way to [her] heart".
She said: "If a man wants to impress me, a perfect date would be going to have food with someone."
Meanwhile, Ferne recently confirmed she's dating model Jack Padgett.
The duo were spotted kissing in South Africa in December and she explained that they had grown closer during the coronavirus lockdown in 2020, having actually known each other for years.
Speaking about their burgeoning romance, Ferne - who has Sunday, three, with ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins - said: "I'm happy and it's very early days, although I've known him for years.
"I actually met him five years ago. In Marbs, would you believe it Bob. Of course, but yeah, it's early days and I'll just see where it goes."
