The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star - who already has a five-year-old daughter called Sunday with ex Arthur Collins - has broken her silence on expecting a little one with her fiancé Lorri Haines, 31, after the news leaked in January.
The 32-year-old reality star told OK! magazine: “It’s always super annoying when something gets out there, but I experienced that with Sunday and I just didn’t want to have the same reaction. It’s still speculation until you’ve heard it from the horse’s mouth. Doing this shoot is our celebration.”
Ferne compared their two families coming together to “a rom-com” as Lorri also has a son named Noah, six, from a previous relationship.
She said: “When [Lorri and I] first met, we really felt like it was a rom-com; both in our thirties, hopeless romantics, both parents – he had a son and I had a daughter. And we thought it was all going to be this romantic comedy, but it’s definitely taken a lot of work, time and energy to blend the families.”
The ex ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ star admitted it was “special” to be pregnant with a loyal partner after Sunday’s father was arrested for carrying out an acid attack, leaving her all alone.
Ferne said: “Without taking anything away from how special it was to have my first pregnancy and for Sunday to come into my life, there are moments in this pregnancy I feel are so special doing it with Lorri. It’s so special just having him by my side and experiencing those baby scans and all the different feelings. Sharing that with him has been so amazing. I think he’ll see me in a different light with motherhood."
And the ‘First Time Mum’ star confessed that she “would love a girl” because she can’t view herself as a boy mum.
Ferne said: “I would love a girl, just because I’ve got my girl’s name and I feel like a girl mum because I’ve got Sunday. I can only see myself with girls.”
