In not a huge surprise, Fear The Walking Dead has done extremely well with viewers in the key demos, proving to be a major hit on Sunday when it debuted on AMC in the US and becoming the most-watched cable premiere in the history of television.
Bringing in 10.1 million viewers that watched live, this means that AMC is now home to three of the most watched series premieres in cable history, with Fear The Walking Dead just beating Better Call Saul - currently in the second spot in the rankings - with The Walking Dead holding firmly onto its fifth place spot on the same list.
With all that being said, it would be interesting to see the numbers if illegal and digital viewing was also taken into account, and so whilst the popularity is promising, it's likely to be even more so than we'll ever be able to say.
Though some would say AMC were counting their chickens before they hatched by ordering two seasons of Fear The Walking Dead before the first had even debuted, it looks as if they made the right decision.
A huge hit by all accounts, it's hard to imagine the next five weeks seeing a huge loss in viewership, so a big congratulations for AMC is in order.
Fear The Walking Dead continues Sundays at 9/8c on AMC in the US.
