Faye Tozer has been confirmed for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The Steps singer has been announced as the second celebrity contestant lined up for this year's series of the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition, after presenter Katie Piper was revealed as the first name earlier on Monday (13.08.18).
In a statement, Faye said: "Being on Strictly is literally a dream come true! It's everything my nine year old self ever wanted from showbiz and I'm going to relish every moment!"
The 42-year-old singer is best known for being a member of the 'Tragedy' hitmakers, who formed in 1997 and went on to release four studio albums and 17 singles, selling over 20 million records in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australasia and the US.
Steps split in 2001, but reunited a decade later in 2011 with hit shows 'Steps - The Reunion' and 'On the Road Again', as well as celebrating the milestone with a 22-date sell out Arena tour and another chart-topping album.
Outside of Steps, Faye had a hit with Russell Watson called 'Someone Like You', and began a theatrical career in 2004.
News of Faye's involvement with 'Strictly' was revealed on BBC One's 'The One Show' on Monday, less than 12 hours after it was revealed on BBC One's 'Breakfast' show that Katie Piper would also be a contestant on the popular dance programme.
Katie said: "I feel so privileged and excited to be part of my favourite show on TV. I already know how much of an amazing experience it will be for me and I can't wait to show my girls some of my new dance moves.
"I'm nervous to put on my dancing shoes but can't wait to learn a new skill and have the 'Strictly' tan and makeover!"
The BBC are to confirm the other celeb contestants in the coming weeks.
Several big names have been talked about as possibilities for this year's quest to win the Glitterball Trophy, including Pussycat Dolls' Ashley Roberts, and radio presenter Vick Hope.
Former England cricketer Graeme Swann has also been talked about as a potential celeb contestant in the upcoming series.
