Faye Brookes thinks 'Dancing on Ice' has given her a renewed sense of "purpose".
The 33-year-old actress - who is best known for playing Kate Connor in 'Coronation Street' - has endured a frustrating year amid the coronavirus crisis and she's determined to make the most of her time on the ITV show.
Asked if she's a competitive person, Faye shared: "I am. I am the worst person to be against if you're playing anything.
"I don't like to be competitive, but I just want to get the best out of every situation. It's not even about the winning, I want to get the best out of it."
This year's series has been disrupted by the coronavirus crisis and various injuries, leading to a week-long break for the show.
And Faye has admitted that because of the current restrictions, she hasn't had the opportunity to spend time with the other celebrities.
She told new! magazine: "We haven't had much social time together. When it comes to COVID-19 restrictions, even when we are doing the group numbers we have to socially distance.
"There are lots of crew members around us reminding us to keep our distance."
Faye also revealed she's received a host of supportive messages from her former 'Coronation Street' co-stars.
The actress said: "We have a WhatsApp group with all the girls in the show and we all stay in contact.
"Most recently I had a voice note from Sair [Khan], who was my best friend on the show and still is to this day.
"Kym [Marsh] and Ali [King], who were part of my family [on 'Coronation Street'], are women who empower women and I love that and think that shouldn't be taken for granted.
"Kym's been watching with her daughter Polly and they've been sending me videos."
