Sir Mo Farah and Carol Vorderman have signed up for the 'Taskmaster' New Year's special.
The Channel 4 show - which is presented by Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne - is returning for its annual one off special episode as five celebrities take on a new selection of absurd challenges.
Mo and Carol will be joined on 'Taskmaster's New Year Treat' by 'Chicken Shop Date' creator Amelia Dimoldenberg, BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James and singer Self Esteem, whose real name is Rebecca Lucy Taylor.
Channel 4 is yet to reveal an air day for the special, but the stars will find themselves competing for this year's trophy, Greg's Golden Eyebrows.
After a teaser video was unveiled on Monday night (21.11.22), Greg James admitted he has "been bursting to talk about this".
He added on Twitter: "If ever there was a TV show that shared the breakfast show mantra of ‘nonsense for the sake of nonsense’, it’s this one. I love it.
"Wowwww what an honour to be asked on the New Year @taskmaster".
'Countdown' legend Carol is also thrilled to be taking part, and while she promised to throw herself into the spirit of the show she admitted she couldn't guarantee a great performance.
She tweeted: "OMG....I’m sooooo excited to be on this year’s @taskmaster New Year Treat. I loooove Taskmaster and the Cottage and @AlexHorne and @gdavies.
"Obvs I am giving it my all which isn’t predicting anything giving the tasks we have to do... (sic)"
And Rebecca Lucy Taylor added: "Achieved a lot this year but this was the pinnacle. All the days you get to have are big except the days you are on taskmaster are the biggest it turns out. (sic)"
Meanwhile, the main show - which is currently airing its 14th season - is still underway on Channel 4 as Fern Brady, Sarah Millican, Dara O Briain, John Kearns and Munya Chawawa compete to be crowned champion.
'Taskmaster' airs every Thursday at 9pm on Channel 4, while 'Taskmaster's New Year Treat' is coming this winter will more details to follow.
