X Factor' hopeful Matt Terry wants to write a heartbreak album about his ex-girlfriend.
The 23-year-old singer appeared on the talent show on Sunday (04.09.16) and told the judges about his ex - now revealed as Jasmine Avis - who dumped him just two days before his birthday.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jazz [Jasmine] and Matt were in a really serious relationship. They went on a few romantic holidays together and their two families spent a lot of time with each other. Jasmine's brutal decision to dump Matt just two days before his birthday came as a real shock to him as well as to all their family and friends."
Despite the couple's split, Jasmine's family are still strong supporters of the singer, and are even gearing up to help him pen an album about the pair's break-up.
The source added: "There's even been talk between them about helping Matt to write a break-up album about Jasmine - even though Jazz finds the whole thing very awkward."
Matt - who met Jasmine at stage school three years ago - is "still struggling" with the split, according to the insider, and is using 'The X Factor' as a distraction.
The source said: "Matt was absolutely devastated by the news. He's still struggling to get over Jazz but 'The X Factor' has been a great distraction for him."
The Louis Tomlinson lookalike wowed judges with a heartfelt rendition of Ben E King's 'Stand By Me', receiving four yeses from Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger, and Simon Cowell.
