'X Factor' hopeful Ivy Grace Paredes has dropped out of the competition.
The Filipino singer - who impressed bosses in the audition rounds a few weeks ago with her rendition of Whitney Houston's 'All The Man That I Need' - has been forced to pull out of the Judges Houses' stage because her application for a visa was refused at the last minute.
A spokesperson for the show told BANG Showbiz: "As with all contestants travelling to the US for Judges Houses, Ivy was required to have a visa. Unfortunately there was an issue with her application being approved which meant that she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition."
It's not yet known why Ivy was denied entry into the America - where her mentor Sharon Osbourne was shooting her segment for the round - but it's thought something from her past cropped up on the visa check and has now shattered her chances of progressing in the competition.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ivy was a real hope for the judges after her audition but her dreams are in tatters. She was point blank refused the visa. 'X Factor' [bosses] tried their best to help, but ran out of time.
"There has been talk of a past issue causing problems but no one but Ivy knows the reason."
Although Ivy is no doubt devastated about the outcome, her departure has now left room for another contestant - who was axed last weekend's show - to take her place.
However, her replacement is yet to be announced.
