An 'X Factor' hopeful was forced to audition for the judges alone after he fell out with his bandmate over raw chicken.
Ottavio Columbro and Bradley Hunt entered the competition as a duo but went it alone on Saturday evening (03.09.16) after a row over undercooked chicken.
Speaking before his audition, Ottavio confessed: "I haven't always been a soloist. I was in a group with Bradley. Today's been the first time I've seen Bradley and it's been absolutely awful as hell. But I've got to think about myself now and I just want to show people who I really am."
However, his solo effort of a stripped back and slowed down version of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' failed to impress the judges.
After his performance, Louis urged Ottavio to reconcile with his friend.
He told the 24-year-old student: "I think you can do an awful lot better in a group. I think you'd be fantastic."
Ottavio then went on to explain to the judges why the pair fell out.
He said: "I chose that [song] because basically, I auditioned with my friend Bradley and we had a massive argument over chicken. He cooked me some chicken and when he gave it to me, it's all pink. I don't want salmonella."
After Ottavio broke down in tears, Bradley was called to the audition room where he impressed with a performance of R. Kelly's 'Ignition'.
Giving his side of the story, Bradley said: "I made chicken and I didn't leave it in long enough because I was hungry. He threw it, he could of said thanks. I know it was undercooked but I tried. I suppose I do miss him."
The pair later reunited to perform Pussycat Dolls' 'Buttons' and were given three yeses from Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne.
Elsewhere on the show, Janet Grogan - who Simon Cowell dubbed his "biggest mistake" in letting go at his six chair challenge in 2014 - impressed the judges with a performance of Zayn Malik's 'Pillowtalk'.
She told the judges: "I was here two years ago and I made it to Simon's six chairs. He tweeted afterwards that it was a mistake. And that tweet is why I'm here."
