Evander Holyfield became the first contestant to be booted off 'Celebrity Big Brother' tonight (10.01.14).
The former heavyweight world-boxing champion, who was issued a warning by producers earlier this week after he made homophobic comments on the Channel 5 series, was greeted by a chorus of cheers from fans after he was forced to leave the house following the show's first real eviction.
The 51-year-old boxer and 'Apprentice' runner-up Luisa Zissman, who were up against actress Jasmine Waltz, comedian Jim Davidson and journalist Liz Jones, scored the least number of votes from the public, but Lee Ryan and Casey Batchelor were given the power to make the final decision and opted to send the controversial fighter home because they were closer to Luisa.
The Blue singer and the glamour model took part in a fake eviction on Wednesday (08.01.14) and the housemates were previously under the impression that they had been sent home.
Evander, who was the bookies favourite to leave tonight, admitted he was disappointed to be evicted so early in the competition and told host Emma Willis: "Of course I thought I would be loved here, I got a few votes, but not enough."
He added: "They saved their friends and that's what happened. I'm not mad, I'm sure they did what they wanted to do, and that's OK."
