'Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk is set to get revenge on her cheating husband Paddy Kirk by sharing a passionate smooch with his best friend Marlon Dingle.
The heartbroken vet -portrayed by Zoe Henry - finds herself falling back into the arms of her ex-lover (Mark Charnock) after she discovers her deceitful spouse (Dominic Brunt) had been having an affair with her young son Leo's teacher Tess Harris (Nicola Stephenson) before she was brutally mowed down and killed in a tragic drink-driving hit-and-run.
Zoe explained: "What we're still filming now is a roller coaster of emotions. Rhona is shocked and angry. Through that journey, she looks back at the crossroads in her life. She thinks, 'If I hadn't left Marlon, this would never have happened and never have hurt as much as it has.' So she questions that inevitably and I think it freaks Marlon out a bit. She tries to kiss him."
However, after Marlon, with whom Rhona has son Leo, knocks her back, the mother-of-one is forced to face up to her broken heart and leans on the pub chef for support.
Zoe told the Radio Times: "She realises it would just be adding fire to fire and not resolving anything."
Meanwhile, fans were left gripped to the edge of their seats in last night's episode (11.02.16) after they saw Kirin Kotecha (Adam Fielding) plough into Tess just as she was about to reveal her affair to Rhona.
The twisted storyline will coincide with Adam's departure from the soap next week after he announced he was leaving in order to focus on other ventures.
