Dominic Brunt doesn't remember some of his early 'Emmerdale' scenes. The 50-year-old actor - who has played Paddy Kirk on the ITV soap since 1997 - admitted he sometimes feels strange watching clips of his early work because he has no recollection of acting them out.Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, he said: "I've seen some scenes that I don't remember at all!"It's strange as I can see myself walking and talking on screen, but I have no memory of it whatsoever. It's like having a false memory."I saw a scene where I walked into the vets' and was like, 'I know it's me, I can see it's me, but I can't recall this for the life of me!' It's very odd!"Dominic is currently in his 23rd year as part of the 'Emmerdale' cast, and he has no intention of moving on from his career-making role.He explained: "I've had enough shady jobs to know this is one of the best in the world. I love it, I'm proud of it, and I'm loyal to it."I still find it difficult and it makes me nervous, you cant just busk it!"But honestly, if they said 'sign here for another 23 years', I'd bite their hand off! If they'll keep writing for me, I'll keep putting the effort in for them. It's whipped by in an instant so far!"A big part of Dominic's love for his job comes from the "passionate" people he gets to work with every day, which is still evident even with the new filming restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic. He added: "Emmerdale's just brilliant, isn't it? What a thing to be part of!"I walk around the building, and everyone who works on the show is so passionate, so you can't help but be encouraged by that."There's always a buzz about, even though we have this whole new way of working."
