Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) finds his life in danger during this week's slew of Emmerdale episodes, as a balaclava-wearing Connor (Danny Cunningham) threatens to kill him if his debts aren’t paid off.
Making a panicked call to partner Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), she quickly makes her way to him but is a few seconds too late, as Connor pulls up in a van and kidnaps the gambling addict.
Letting their teenage son Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) in on the news, the pair struggle to scrape together the amount of money that Connor is demanding, with the kidnapper sending a picture of Paul tied up to the pair to show them he is serious about reclaiming his loan.
Running out of options, Mandy considers getting blood on her hands to save her family, so when she and Vinny go to meet Connor under the ruse of giving him the money for Paul’s freedom, could she be about to make a decision that will change her life forever?
Elsewhere, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) faces further ostracisation from her family when Chas dingle (Lucy Pargeter) kicks her out of The Woolpack, leaving her to head to the B&B. Realising it’s fully booked however, she wonders exactly where she can turn next.
Visiting Wishing Well cottage, she asks Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) if she can move in, but faces firm rejection following her downward spiral.
Fortunately, Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) takes pity on Charity and offers her the spare room. She also offers her some advice; to sell her half of The Woolpack without complaint, hopefully earning respect from her loved ones in the process.
Will Charity ever be able to completely mend the fractures she’s caused in her family?
Meanwhile, Luke Posner (Max Parker) tells Ethan Anderson (Emile John) that he has now opened up about his past to both Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) and his mother Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), so he can back off and leave him in peace.
Was Luke telling Victoria the truth when he said he had only slept with a man once though, or is there more to the story and, will his sexuality continue to confuse him moving forward?
All this, and that’s without mentioning the pregnancy bomb that Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is about to drop at Jamie Tate’s (Alexander Lincoln) feet!
